Introducing Our Experiment

We are recruiting participants for a research study on the impact of visual design in online learning. This experiment aims to explore how visual elements (e.g., color, typography, layout) influence learners’ attention and learning experiences through eye-tracking technology and interactive design analysis. If you are interested in visual design or educational technology in online learning, we sincerely invite you to join us!

  • Fifth Experiment: February 5, 2025, to February 7, 2025

Test Location

ViCubeLab

  • Lab 201-01, N28, Faculty of Computing, Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Johor Bahru, Malaysia

Test Process

Tasks: Complete modular tasks related to visual design (e.g., reading materials, watching animations).

Eye-Tracking: Use Tobii Pro X3-120 and GazeCloudAPI to record gaze trajectories and visual behaviors.

Feedback & Questionnaire: Fill out short questionnaires and participate in brief interviews after each task.

Duration: Each test session lasts 45–60 minutes, including breaks.

Participant Requirements

  • Student Group: Aged 18–35, including high school students, undergraduates, and postgraduates, with a focus on university and postgraduate students.
  • Educators Group: Aged 36–50, including high school teacher and university lecturer (including professor level), as well as professionals in the educational training sector.
  • Other Requirements: Normal vision, ability to focus on a screen during the test, and no history of severe color blindness or eye conditions.
